Common Verbs 2

Here are some common verbs in Spanish that come up frequently in conversations.

1. Cocinar (to cook)
   Me gusta cocinar platos tradicionales. (I enjoy cooking traditional dishes.)

2. Comprar (to buy)
   Voy a comprar frutas y verduras en el mercado. (I am going to buy fruits and vegetables at the market.)

3. Escuchar (to listen)
   Me encanta escuchar música en español. (I love listening to Spanish music.)

4. Ver (to see/to watch)
   Vamos a ver una película esta noche. (We are going to watch a movie tonight.)

5. Vivir (to live)
   Ella vive en una casa grande cerca del parque. (She lives in a big house near the park.)

6. Querer (to want/to love)
   Quiero ir de vacaciones a la playa. (I want to go on vacation to the beach.)

7. Leer (to read)
   Leo un libro interesante en mi tiempo libre. (I read an interesting book in my free time.)

8. Saber (to know)
   Ella sabe hablar francés y español. (She knows how to speak French and Spanish.)

9. Dar (to give)
   Le di un regalo a mi mejor amigo. (I gave a gift to my best friend.)

10. Decir (to say/to tell)
    Mi madre me dijo que estudie mucho para el examen. (My mother told me to study hard for the exam.)

11. Llegar (to arrive)
    Los invitados van a llegar a las 8 de la noche. (The guests are going to arrive at 8 p.m.)

12. Creer (to believe)
    No puedo creer lo que acabo de ver. (I can’t believe what I just saw.)

13. Pedir (to ask/to request)
    Voy a pedir una pizza para la cena. (I’m going to ask for a pizza for dinner.)

14. Hablar (to speak)
    Hablo español e inglés con fluidez. (I speak Spanish and English fluently.)
