I’ve always wanted to retire somewhere sunny with nice beaches so I’m planning on moving to Colombia or the Dominican republic.
So my goal with learning Spanish is to be able to have easy conversations.
I’m a big researcher and I’ve looked everywhere and tried everything to learn Spanish. So far, LingoToGo is the best I’ve ever found.
First I tried apps, but they just don’t work because you cannot work on your pronunciation or ask questions.
I’ve taken group classes but that gives you textbook grammar learning but you don’t get the interaction you need to practice and get fluent.
I’ve tried private tutors, but with a single tutor, you just don’t get the flexibility you need to be able to schedule a lesson whenever you want.
Then I tried the other online school that offers unlimited Spanish lessons. They had the scheduling flexibility I needed, but I found the quality of their teachers was hit and miss. Sometimes you’d get a great teacher who really knew what they were doing, but sometimes you’d get someone who was just teaching Spanish because they needed a job.
They didn’t really have teaching skills, and they’d just read the curriculum to you. You could tell they were just going through the motions.
So that’s why I tried out LingoToGo for unlimited Spanish lessons.
I always like to test people when they say they’re good, so I set a pretty high standard coming into it.
And LingoToGo passed the test.
Overall, the best thing about LingoToGo is the quality of the teachers.
Every single one of them is a real, experienced Spanish teacher. Other places the teachers may correct you, but not explain why.
But at LingoToGo the teachers explain everything clearly, so you finally understand it.
LingoToGo has the flexibility of scheduling that I need, with classes from early morning to late at night, including weekends.
And I was really impressed with LingoToGo’s classes because not only were we able to have a conversation, you also had structured notes to follow. I’m in finance, so I like structure. If I wanted to study grammar, we would do that, but sometimes I’d say, “Hey, I just want to chat today.” and we’d just talk in Spanish to develop conversational skills.
The curriculum is very good. It’s clear and uses visuals. It’s in English and in Spanish, so I can understand it easily. And then if I have a question, the LingoToGo teachers always take time to answer it.
The other thing LingoToGo does, which I think is very good, is that they make me practice. It’s like learning how to drive. It’s not enough to understand the theory. To learn to drive, you actually have to take the steering wheel and drive. And that’s what the teachers at LingoToGo make me do.
I’ve tried almost everything else I could, and I’ve just narrowed it down to LingoToGo.
They’re the best!
Quality teachers. Flexible hours. Structure with feedback. And conversational practice.
