Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from lingotogo.cool (the “Site”) and when you take Spanish lessons with LingoToGo. This Privacy Policy was last updated on September 19, 2021.

Personal Information We May Collect

Site Usage Data

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  •  “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

Subscription and Payment Data

When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name and email address and subscription purchase information. Payments are processed through Stripe, and your payment information is retained on Stripe’s secure servers. We never have access to your payment information.

We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

Lesson Bookings

When you book lessons through Site we collect your name and email address on the booking form. We also pass your unique subscriber ID from your account to the booking form that our teachers see, so that they can access your lesson notes. We also pass that information on to our managers so that they can track student bookings.

We maintain a log of the lessons you have booked, attended, missed and cancelled.

Lesson Notes

When our teachers deliver Spanish lessons to you, they take notes on your progress – your strengths, weaknesses, what you’re currently learning, and any other information that the teachers think will be useful for supporting you in your learning process. We call these “Lesson Notes.”

Lesson Notes are shared with all teachers who are currently working for LingoToGo, and supervisors and managers who have legitimate reasons to review your Lesson Notes. Your Lesson Notes are stored securely in Google Drive documents, and are only accessible to teachers and other authorized staff and contractors at LingoToGo. We carefully control access to your lesson notes so that only active teachers and other authorized individuals can access them.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information, Order Information and Lesson Notes.

Customer Support

Whenever you message us through email or other media, we keep a record of those communications.
