Irregular Comparatives and Superlatives (mejor, peor, mayor, menor)

These irregular forms are used frequently:

  • Mejor (better/best): “Este es el mejor libro que he leído.” (This is the best book I’ve read.)
  • Peor (worse/worst): “Hoy me siento peor que ayer.” (Today I feel worse than yesterday.)
  • Mayor (older/eldest): “Mi hermano mayor tiene 30 años.” (My older brother is 30 years old.)
  • Menor (younger/youngest): “Ella es la menor de la familia.” (She is the youngest in the family.)
