Spanish has neuter demonstrative pronouns: esto (this), eso (that), aquello (that over there). They’re used to refer to ideas, situations, or unspecified things: “Esto es difícil” (This is difficult), “No entiendo eso” (I don’t understand that), “Aquello fue increíble” (That over there was incredible).
