Exam format and content

The AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam consists of two main sections:

  • Multiple Choice Section (50% of the score): Interpretive communication through print and audio texts
  • Free Response Section (50% of the score): Interpersonal and presentational writing and speaking tasks

The exam covers six themes: Families and Communities, Personal and Public Identities, Beauty and Aesthetics, Science and Technology, Contemporary Life, and Global Challenges. Familiarize yourself with these themes and practice applying language skills within these contexts.
