Por for exchange, para for purpose

Use “por” for exchanges or prices: Compré el libro por 20 euros (I bought the book for 20 euros). Use “para” to express purpose or recipient: Este regalo es para ti (This gift is for you). Remember: “por” indicates an exchange or rate, while “para” shows the purpose or intended recipient of an action or item.
